"Let the beauty of what you love be what you do. A little bit about my makeup process... I use only the best sanitation practices like 70% alcohol on all makeup, makeup brushes and utensils. All items are completely sanitized or disposed of between clients. I start with a mini facial on all my clients while getting to know their skin by asking them questions. All artists should start with a clean canvas and prep work is crucial in getting the skin to glow. Then I apply the correct moisturizer and primer- based on your skin type. I always recommend a sweat proof base such as Mehron for my June-September brides or if your prone to sweating/oily skin. I've used this in theater production and for extremely hot days - it's amazing! I carry all foundation types such as silicon, water, oil and alcohol based depending on your skin's needs (oily/dry/combo) and Event type (bridal to special effects)! I can apply these types of foundation either with a brush/sponge or with airbrush. Next, I ensure a perfect foundation match after deciphering which foundation type you need. I love skin looking like skin but if a client prefers a more matte finish I can rock that too! I apply a little amount of foundation to the cheek and watch it oxidize (react to your skins chemicals - all foundation will change color depending on the chemical composition of your skin my job is to guarantee it matches flawlessly). After the eye makeup has been applied I return to finish the foundation, concealer and powder work. Then I apply lipstick with a sealer and offer samples to my brides so they can retouch as needed. Last, I apply a face sealer such as Ben Nye this locks and sets the makeup for a fun night of dancing so it won't budge. Makeup brands in my kit: Temptu, Mac, Bobbie Brown, RCMA, Camera Ready Cosmetics, Dior, Face Atelier, Ben Nye and Mehron - just to name a few!"
